Kintyre Beach Guide - Saddell Beaches
Saddell just south of Carradale has a wonderful long sandy beach, which was actually the one used on the Mull Of Kintyre song video.
The beach is sandy, the water is clear, and the water laps the shoreline at a shallow incline. The beach is a good spot in the summer and is used by some locals and visitors, and is good for shallow swimming with little current.
Saddell beach is close to Saddell Castle (not open to the public) and is accessed by the same road, Saddell also has the Abbey which is worth a visit while you are there.
