Tarbert Golf Club
Only one mile from the centre of the village of Tarbert, Tarbert golf course is a small but pleasurable 9 hole course. The course is absent from any bunkers which is helpful to those of us that find bunkers so difficult to get out of that we create another one only a few yards over the existing one!
Despite this, there are some tricky shots with 4 holes crossing a small burn, the 1st, 5th, 6th and 9th. The burn is just at that awkward distance so you have to choose to play offensive or defensive in your club selection. Big hitters will make it over the burn with ease.
Tarbert has great views across the West Loch from several higher points with a few up hill holes. Some of the holes are not forgiving if you have a bad sideward strike and the greens are small requiring you to be accurate which can be a fun test of your wedge.
